That caught my eye, too. What's really interesting is how he's signed it: not "after Miller", not "in homage to Miller", but "Parody of Miller". That raises questions of the image's sincerity and intention. Knowing McFarlane's past work ethic, I'd have just guessed at "lazy, half-assed, tossed off to meet a deadline". It's an image that's been homaged numerous times, and let's face it, Giffen did it in an Ambush Bug issue in a much more timely manner.
Ha! Maybe he doesn't understand what parody means? I love the original image - such an ugly rendering of Batman. I haven't seen that Giffen take, you wouldn't have a link would you?
